Marco Corsini (b. Wangaratta, Australia, 1969) is a Melbourne based artist. He is currently the Director of Melbourne Art Class. Marco was also the chief judge for the 2021 Camberwell Art Show, one of Australia’s most popular art prizes. Marco has exhibited in Australia and Europe.
Marco’s paintings often feature the landscape and his immediate environment. Using shifts in viewpoint and perspective and often painted over extended periods of time, the works explore perception and painting as a recorder of experience rather than as a representative tool. Alongside an interest in consciousness and experience, Marco’s work also incorporates personal motifs indicating the artist’s own presence, perception and subjectivity.
